389-ds-base-dbg software package provides 389 Directory Server suite - server debugging symbols, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install 389-ds-base-dbg
389-ds-base-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the 389-ds-base-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep 389-ds-base-dbg *
You will get with 389-ds-base-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
